The Cinema Now Festival will also feature a film called Take me somewhere nice, which arrives from the Netherlands via Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the edge of adulthood, Alma leaves her mother’s home in the Netherlands and travels to her native Bosnia to visit the father she has never met. But right from the start, nothing goes according to plan. Her cousin Emir gives her a frosty reception and ridicules her easy life back West. At the same time, undeniable sexual chemistry leads Alma into a passionate relationship with Emir’s best friend, the troublesome Denis. As the obstacles pile up, Alma remains fearlessly determined to see her plan through and find her father. High on the energy of youth and the rush of adult discovery, the rebellious trio embarks on an adventure across the exciting Bosnian heartland which becomes increasingly unpredictable as they move forward. During her travels, Alma will learn to embrace and understand herself, as she accepts the challenges that come before her.
The film is written and directed by the young Ena Sendijarević and stars Sara Luna Zoric, Lazar Dragojevic and Ernad Prnjavorac.
