Ognjen Glavonić was born in Pančevo, former Yugoslavia, now Republic of Serbia in 1985. He studied Film and Television Directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade. His midlength documentary, ŽIVAN MAKES A PUNK FESTIVAL (2014) premiered at Cinéma du Réel film festival in Paris, France. This film has been screened at more than 40 international film festivals including IFF Rotterdam (2015), IndieLisboa (2015), CPH:DOX (2014) and Festival dei Popoli (2014). He is the director and one of the founders of the Pančevo Film Festival.
His second feature film, DEPTH TWO (2016), was selected at the 66th Berlinale Forum.
His first feature film The Load (2018) premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival, and at the festivals around the World, ie. Toronto, London, Viennale, Cottbus, Sarajevo, Rotterdam, New Directors/New Films (NYS), RiverRun, etc.
