To the Cinema Now festival, as part of the promotion of the New Hungarian Art Scene and the K3CI project, comes an indie, rock ‘n’ roll, afro pop concert sensation – Fran Palermo!
One of the most popular bands from Budapest, of Hungarian-Cuban-Spanish-Greek origin, continues to fascinate their fans by the fresh and unique tropical jungle-rock sound but also by the ever-present Mediterranean sound.
The band was founded 8 years ago, and so far has received the most votes in the national talent show, the “Discovery of the Year” award at the Petőfi Music Awards and the nomination “Best Hungarian Act” in addition to huge audience attention, two albums and several EPs.
Fran Palermo has performed at festivals such as the Dutch Eurosonic Norderslag, the Slovenian MENT, the Austrian Wavves Vienna, as well as the Hungarian festivals Sziget, VOLT and Bánkitó.
